Titi opened an African clothing and gifts shop in Winnipeg after moving to Canada to begin a new life with her family. She eventually closed the business to focus on her passion for counselling through prayer. She soon became a prayer meeting leader and coordinator at her home church and was instrumental in setting up a prayer ministry that grew to include a network of over 100 leaders and participants. Today, Titi teaches the principles of effective prayer to individuals, women’s groups, and events in Canada, the United Kingdom, USA, and Nigeria.
Titi moved to Canada in 1989 to begin a new life with her family before she discovered her passion for counselling through prayer. She soon became a prayer meeting leader and coordinator at her home church and was instrumental in setting up a prayer ministry that grew to include a network of over 100 prayer warriors. Today, Titi teaches the principles of effective prayer and spiritual warfare to individuals and small groups in Canada and Nigeria. Her passion is to see prayer groups formed and thriving in local churches. She believes churches will reach their potential through the power of prayer. She’s currently serving as the prayer director in her local church at Bethel Community Church in Winnipeg.
My early life
My mother taught my family to pray and lead prayer using devotionals. We would take turns every evening to lead so by the age of 8 I was already comfortable whenever it was my turn to lead family devotions.
Spiritual life
Even though I grew up going to church I didn’t have a personal relationship with God until I was 30. After that, I joined small groups at my church to learn more about God, got baptized and took lots of classes to grow spiritually. Teaching prayer and marriage classes came out of discovering that I had a gift of teaching.
Motivation
Learning that God gave his best for me by his son, Jesus, to give up his own life for my sins motivates me to give my best to him and teach others to do the same.
